In this video clip, Don Miles of the PA Sierra Club explains the goals of John Donahue and local chapters of the Sierra Club to expand the size of the current DWGNRA by redesignating it to a National Park and Preserve.

The plan would have the park expand from the current 70,000 acres to over 270,000 acres by the federal acquisition of state and private lands, as well as connecting private lands.

In the full length version of this video, they explain that the state lands include Stokes State Forest, Worthington State Forest, High Point State park, and PA State Game lands.
